The joys of documentation and why you should make a Notion notice board
ishanpuranik.substack.com
Last month I became the sole class representative of my college class, it isn’t an arduous role by any means but it requires a lot of coordination with teachers and annoying classmates (if you’re a teacher reading this please note the position of the previous adjective).
Determined to minimize the time I spend repeating myself and talking to people that I will never meet after one year, I did what I always do in times like these.
It takes like 10 minutes a day to update and it honestly helps me as much as everyone else.
Earlier I used to get messages like “Ishan when do we have to submit the XYZ project?”, “Ishan do we have a holiday on Saturday?” or “Ishan do you think if I submit my project today (5 days after it was due), the teacher will find out?”
All these questions and more, no longer come to me.
They’re right there for anyone to see.
No more calls, no more messages
I am free from talking to pests
So anyway, this is just one way that making some sort of notice board or documentation has helped me save time and energy. Do you have similar experiences with something like this? Let me know in the comments.
